As recent research paradigm has shifted into data-driven, proper management and reuse of research data plays a key role in scientific research and “Open Science” becomes a global agenda for scientific research. In particular, OECD is pushing ahead with openness and sharing of publicly funded research results, and major countries concentrate on building policies and infrastructure for “Open Research Data”. In “Forum on Data Leadership and Stewardship”, we’d like to share global Open Science trends, and discuss issues and future direction for management, sharing and reuse of research data in Korea. We hope this forum to work as a channel for communication and collaboration between various stakeholders of research data management.
